Project 8

My inspiration for this project was my passion for the outdoors. I love being in nature, especially in a setting where there's trees. I was inspired to use my photo in this picture so that I could become apart of the forest's landscape. I was inspired by the interesting lighting in this picture, to give me a challenge to recreate that on my added portrait. My biggest aspiration was to become apart of the shadows of the outdoors. I am always inspired by forest settings and warm lighting, so I thought this background would be perfect for this project.

My inspiration for my Illustrator poster was my favorite superhero, Captain America. I am a huge science fiction fan, and with recently watching one of the Captain America movies, I thought it would be a great idea to do him. This is because the movie is based in the 1940's, so the vintage poster was perfect for this project. I was inspired by my favorite super hero to create a vintage poster.

Project 7

What inspired me to create these photos was to add as much color as I could to express a realistic but also abstract image. I wanted to use images that I took to create something that was interesting to look at but also to wonder how I acquired the look of the image. I was inspired by natures colors yet emphasized to create idealistic nature photos.

Project 5

The inspiration for designing this peach was because peaches are one of my favorite fruits. I love the colors as well as the flavor. I wanted to do a peach to challenge myself with a variety of different colors and to blend them together to make it as realistic as possible. I am inspired by peaches because they are not only aesthetically pleasing with many bright colors but they are also super delicious!

Project 4

My inspiration for the business cards was something that would be related to the logo as well as the business itself. I wanted it to be really simple that complimented the text on the opposite side. I used fonts that had a similar ‘battle’ theme so that it would conform with the overall theme. I used inspiration from my logos to incorporate colors and shapes into the back of my business cards.

Project 3

My inspiration for my logo design was something simplistic, yet captured the ideology of the targeted company. I wanted something that was in relation to Nerf guns and colors that would target the appropriate age of the customers. I was inspired by orange, a bright color that is used with Nerf guns and a contrasting color to make it look neat, as well as dramatic. My inspiration was mostly inspired by the word “battlefield” in the company’s name as well as my own experiences with lazer tag including bright colors and different fonts used.

Project 2

My inspiration for this project was portraying one of my favorite animals, the owl. I admire how majestic they are and I believe the poem is as majestic as the animal itself. I was inspired by the poem because it tells a story with great imagery, which correlated with my image perfectly. I wanted to do an owl with simplistic curves, yet an image that demonstrated the beauty and overall shape of the animal.
